Role Overview As a Technical Advisor and Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, secure, and cost-effective full-stack applications using Angular, Node.js, and cloud native technologies (Azure/AWS). You will lead one or more development teams, providing technical excellence leadership and mentoring to developers, testers, and support staff. Your deep understanding of both software engineering and the oil and gas industry will enable you to challenge and improve the software delivery process, ensuring timely and fit-for-purpose solutions. Job Duties Lead the design, development, testing, and documentation of scalable software systems, ensuring alignment with engineering best practices. Architect and implement components that integrate seamlessly within a broader ecosystem using REST APIs, database queries, and library calls. Apply system design patterns to build efficient, maintainable, and high-performing solutions. Guide technical research and development efforts, mentor team members, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software. Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement across the development lifecycle. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is mandatory. Minimum 7+ years of hands‑on software development experience is mandatory. Experience leading teams is preferred. Proven leadership experience or readiness to take on a team lead role. Strong background in project design, execution, and data analysis. Excellent communication, analytical, and decision‑making skills are mandatory. Oil & Gas domain experience is a plus. Technical Expertise Mandatory Primary Skill: C++, MFC Preferred Secondary Skills: C#, ObjectiveC Solid understanding of software development fundamentals and object‑oriented design principles Strong database knowledge: SQL Server, Oracle Proficient in JSON, gRPC, Visual Studio, XAML Familiarity with Fortran, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, version control systems like GitLab Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
