Madison Valley Ranch is seeking a dynamic Assistant Lodge Manager (ALM). The ALM will serve as host at breakfast, accommodating all guest requests (starting around 6:00AM), introduce anglers to fishing guides, and process check outs for departing guests. They will also have numerous office responsibilities, including overseeing the retail and beverage programs, tracking reservation reports, assisting with booking reservations, implementing consistent quality standards in guest rooms, and many other various tasks such as rigging fly rods and shipping/receiving. Once a week, the ALM will serve as the manager on duty, covering the Lodge Manager’s day off and hosting dinner with guests. The ALM must be friendly, organized, detail-oriented, and reliable. Ability to multitask independently and to respond to stressful situations in a calm and professional manner is a must. Position requires high levels of responsibility; applicants should possess strong communication and management skills. The ALM will be responsible for implementing high standards of quality in guest rooms and lodge common areas. The Madison Valley Ranch is an all-inclusive fly fishing lodge located minutes from Ennis, Montana, and an hour’s drive from Bozeman. It is the perfect spot for anyone who loves the outdoors and small town living. At MVR, we pride ourselves on offering the highest levels of lodging, recreation, food and beverage, and service to our guests. We offer our staff a great work environment and opportunity to learn the highest levels of service and teamwork. Individuals who excel at personalized service are encouraged to apply to become part of our extraordinary team of professionals. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Full time season runs from April through October, with potential for reduced winter hours. Experience with fly fishing is not required but would be valuable in the position. The furnished home offers a full kitchen, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, small office area, living room, dining area, washer/dryer, wireless internet, satellite television. It is located approximately two and a half miles from the lodge, so a bike or vehicle would be ideal. A $500 deposit is required upfront and returned when you depart at the end of the season, assuming room is in good condition upon departure. Lodging is charged at $250 per month, and this can be deducted from your paycheck or paid in advance. A nearby grocery store is available for purchasing food to prepare in the house’s kitchen.
