Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location: Yakima, WA
Pay: $23.92 to $30.60

Primary Objective
Under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager this position is responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, installation and repair of facility, grounds, and plant production equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Level 3

• Perform preventive maintenance on all production and plant equipment as directed by the Manufacturing Manager. (Level 1, 2 & 3 )
• Perform Basic Lubrication and cleaning of Production Equipment. (Level 1,2 & 3)
• Other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager. (Level 1, 2 & 3 )
• Strictly adhere to all Company and Plant Safety policies and procedures. (Level 1, 2 & 3)

Level 2 ( Including duties listed for Level 3)

• Work independently to resolve equipment or other mechanical problems in Extrusion and Fabrication. (Level 1&2)
• Be able to read and interoperate electrical diagrams and schematics. (Level 1 & 2)
• Be able to read and interoperate blue prints and or technical drawings. (level 1 & 2 )
• Fabricate or weld equipment and parts as directed by the Manufacturing Manager or Engineering Department. (Level 1 & 2)
• Diagnose and repair electrical problems on Plant systems and equipment. (Level 1&2 )
• Trains Maintenance employees as directed by Manufacturing Manager. (Level 1 & 2 )
• Diagnose Extrusion Equipment and Plant systems. (Level 1 & 2 )

Level 1 ( Including duties listed for Level 2 and Level 3)

• Troubleshoot Diagnose and repair PLC, Servo Drive, Servo Actuators. (Level 1)
• Troubleshoot, diagnose electrical systems including A/C 120v, 220v, 480v systems, DC low and high voltage systems. (Level 1)
• Diagnose and repair CNC equipment. (Level 1)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 year associates course from a vocational school with emphasis in mechanical or fabrication preferred
• Above average English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to diagnose and repair CNC fabrication equipment.

• Able to diagnose PLC, Servo Actuator / Motors and Servo Drives.

• Ability to diagnose and repair 110v, 240v and 480v single and three phase circuits.
• Able to weld and fabricate parts or equipment.
• Understands A/C, D/C Motors and Controls.
• Able to make fraction to decimal calculations.
• Ability to Weld and Fabricate parts per drawings.

Physical Demands

• Able to lift 60 pounds repetitively.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time on concrete.
