Opportunity

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Financial Planning Analyst with 2–5 years of experience to support strategic decision-making and performance optimization across our asset portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a data-driven environment and is passionate about using financial insights to drive business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience with Argus and MRI, and will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and best practices reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the VP of Finance in the preparation and consolidation of budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
  • Track and analyze actual performance against underwriting expectations; produce a “report card” to measure asset-level and portfolio-wide performance.
  • Lead peer asset reporting initiatives to compare financial and operational performance across similar assets and platforms.
  • Identify and report on best practices across the asset portfolio, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive implementation.
  • Leverage data analytics and emerging AI tools to automate reporting, enhance forecast accuracy, and extract actionable insights.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and capital planning.
  • Prepare and deliver financial performance reports and dashboards for executive leadership.

· Conduct ad hoc analysis in response to business needs and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with Argus (DCF or Enterprise) and MRI Software is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Exposure to AI tools or automation platforms (e.g., Alteryx, Python, ChatGPT for analysis, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership.

· Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

· Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels

Work Environment:

  • This position is based in our newly-remodeled, downtown Cincinnati office, with occasional workplace flexibility available if needed
  • Normal business hours and minimal, if any, required business travel

Compensation and Benefits

Essential Growth Properties’ FP&A Analyst position will include an excellent benefits package that includes medical, dental, life, and 401(k). It will provide a competitive salary based on candidate’s experience.
