The Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting raw and finished goods between Trafera facilities and customer locations, ensuring deliveries are on time and meeting quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

The following essential functions represent the primary work performed; however, other responsibilities could be expected that are not detailed here but fall within the scope of this role.

  • Responsible for transporting raw and finished goods between Trafera facilities and customer locations using a van, dock truck or lift gate truck
  • Ensure that cargo is safely and accurately loaded and unloaded and delivery protocols are followed at customers locations
  • Manage and inspect cargo manifest to ensure accuracy of load
  • Maintain safe driving practices including adhering to traffic regulations and company safety procedures
  • Plan and follow efficient and optimal travel routes, often using GPS technology
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections, ensure Trafera vehicle is clean, and report any mechanical issues or arrange for maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, deliveries, and driving hours as required

Minimum Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in delivery driving and customer service
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders and customers
  • Self-directed work style, able to work autonomously, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to use Hand trucks and other loading and unloading tools
  • Must meet minimum age requirement of 21
  • Must have an unexpired driver’s license and maintain appropriate licensing, credentials, and clean driving record
  • Must currently have DOT certification or must be able pass DOT certification after hire and annually thereafter
  • Requires travel to customer locations; driving may occur on interstates and other roadways.

Technology and Systems:

  • Knowledge of GPS and other navigational tools
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as CSI
  • Microsoft Office Suite
