Job Description - Manage the maintenance and operations of affordable housing properties in Brooklyn.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of handymen, porters, and other building staff.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure building safety and compliance with regulations.
- Address tenant concerns and resolve maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
- Oversee repairs, renovations, and general upkeep of the properties.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and building operations.
- Ensure all building systems, such as HVAC and plumbing, are functioning efficiently.
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors as needed for specialized services.

The Successful Applicant A successful Building Superintendent should have:
- Previous experience as a building superintendent or live-in resident manager.
- Knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, and compliance regulations.
- Strong leadership skills to manage and guide a team of building staff.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address tenant and property issues effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with contractors and vendors.
- Familiarity with affordable housing operations and requirements.
- General knowledge of Building and Construction Codes
